Tour de France 2009 Live Streaming | Watch Tour de France 2009 Online Free. The 2009 Tour de France will be the 96th Tour de France. Le Tour de France is running from Saturday July 4 – 26, 2009. it will start in the principality of Monaco with a 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) individual time trial that includes a section of the Circuit de Monaco. The race will visit a total of six nations: Monaco, France, Spain, Andorra, Switzerland and Italy (during stage 16).

Tour de France 2009 Route

Tour de France will be made up of 21 stages and will cover a total distance of 3,500 kilometers including 93 in time-trials. These 21 stages have the following profiles:

* 10 flat stages,
* 7 mountain stages,
* 1 medium mountain stage,
* 2 individual time-trial stages,
* 1 team time-trial stage.

Distinctive aspects of the race

* 3 mountain finishes,
* 2 rest days,
* 55 kilometres of individual time-trials,
* 20 Category 1, Category 2 and highest level passes will be climbed.

After the official presentation of the riders, the magnificent setting of the Rock will be the site of the opening test – a fifteen kilometer time trial.

The twenty teams were invited to take part in the race, 17 of the 18 UCI ProTour teams, Fuji-Servetto being the exception, and three additional teams: Skil-Shimano, Cervélo TestTeam and Agritubel. Each team is to consist of 9 riders, making a total of 180 participants.
